On my fourth visit to Bangkok, we visited this hidden gem just near the city. Pak Khlong Talat is most lively after midnight. If you want to see the market in full action, though, the best time to go is pre-dawn or at 3:00-4:00. This is when the roadside transforms into a kaleidoscope of bright, blooming colours, as vendors receive floral goods from each flower-growing area in the country. Wholesalers bring in truckloads of freshly cut flowers. Directions going to Pak Khlong Talat: Sky Train: get off at Saphan Taksin Station Transfer to: Taksin Pier Take: Chao Phraya Express boat Stop: #6 Enjoy!
When in Bangkok never miss going to the market and eat street foods. My favourite food from the market is their pork and chicken BBQ paired with white sticky rice. It will only cost you less than 50 pesos to satisfy your hungry belly. There are a loooot of food to choose from. Just by walking around and trying everything you see will surely make your belly explode cause everything is so yummy! After eating some BBQ, we buy some sticky rice with mango for dessert and their sweet coconut for our drink. It’s funny that I still eat that there even when there are lots of those in the Philippines. hehe I just love the feeling of eating it there cause of the lively markets you’ll be walking around at.
